The hardest day any of us can face as pet owners is the day we must say goodbye to our beloved companion. We respect and understand how difficult this process is and want to support you through the process from assuring you in your decision-making to providing access to grief counseling afterwards.

When a loved one dies we are faced with legal forms, bills, and decisions that must be made. With our human family members, this is usually done after we have lost them and are still in the shock of that grief. Unfortunately in veterinary medicine, we have legal documents that must be signed at the time of euthanasia that may result in some aftercare decisions based on law. If body care has not already been decided we can hold the patient for a period of time to give you a chance to decide that. Payment can be made over the phone if scheduling in advance or prior to the procedure.

At County Line Veterinary Clinic we recognize the unbreakable love and bond between you and your beloved pet. We would like to offer a place on our memorial fence for your pet to be remembered in this way. You are welcome to place a lock on the fence with your pet’s name and years of life on our fence to memorialize him/her. We will supply a standard lock with a tag and your pet’s name and dates or you are welcome to bring your own. Love locks are a tradition throughout Europe. Couples attach a padlock engraved with their initials to a fence or gate and throw away the key to symbolize their unbreakable love.

We offer cremation through Fond Memories. You may learn more about them and some of the products here.  Some people choose to take their pets home for burial. Please check with city codes if you choose this option.
